The Enterprise crew is investigating the
Bermuda Delta Triangle. You know, where all those ships go missing? But for some reason the Klingons are there too, and a battle ensues which sees both the Enterprise and a Klingon ship slip through a corridor and into a "pocket" of space. There they see all the ships that have gone missing. For some reason time goes faster there, which is siphoning the power from the dilithium crystals, yet no one ages. I don't quite follow that...

The people who have found themselves trapped in this pocket have all learned to get along. Represented there are all the familiar Trek species, and they all live in harmony as they have come to the conclusion that they can't leave, and things are better when they are not fighting. It's a great thought.

The Klingons try to ram their way out and fail. However, they determine that if the Enterprise links together and humps the Klingon ship while ramming their way out, everything should work out fine. It's an excellent example of how working together is better, except....the Klingons have placed a tiny bomb that will destroy the Enterprise as soon as they cross the bridge to home. So, lesson not learned I guess.

"The Time Trap" has some wonderful Trekkian themes, like different species working together for the common good, and enemies becoming friends by overcoming common obstacles. It has an engaging plot and an interesting guest cast of characters and is an overall
Good episode. However, the whole Delta Triangle thing is dumb, and the space pocket where time flies by but nobody ages makes no sense. Wouldn't they have come back from the pocket years after they left if time were truly moving faster there? And why is Obama now a member of the crew?
